In efforts to help our local Canadian communities with necessities during the COVID-19 crisis, we're doing our best to keep prices as low as possible. Unfortunately, during this time, our purchasing team has faced increases throughout the distribution channel. Increases from raw material and packaging from the manufacturers to increases in destination handling charges and freight brokerage services. Our pricing on certain items are to support our operating costs and our workers who are on the front lines helping get essential items into the community in our fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
Although we recognize some prices are higher than historical norms, we felt it necessary to be able to supply our customers these goods in a time of need if we could. In order to counteract some of these increases we have lowered our pricing substantially other essential products in which we have more direct cost control over such as microfiber cloths, mops and other wiping products.
